The delegates also pointed out that Vietnam’s current ginseng output remained modest and cultivation areas were still limited.

To ensure sufficient supply for export, they underlined the necessity to preserve authentic genetic resources and accelerate the application of science and technology to expand planned cultivation zones.

In addition, they also stressed the need for the Vietnamese government to have mechanisms and policies for strategic investment in deep processing in order to increase the added value of ginseng products.

Based on these realities, experts and society representatives proposed strengthening cooperation between authorities and businesses of the two countries, thereby creating momentum for the sustainable development of Vietnam’s ginseng industry.
