In his opening remarks, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Anh Tuan praised Da Nang’s sideline events during the WEF meeting. He said the convergence of green and digital finance is shaping a modern, sustainable financial ecosystem and affirmed that Da Nang has strong locational advantages and special policy mechanisms to attract high-quality capital flows.

Alexander De Croo, former Prime Minister of Belgium and an Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme, praised Vietnam’s move to establish an international financial centre as a channel for mobilising capital for sustainable infrastructure.

Similarly, Nobumitsu Hayashi, Governor of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation, described Da Nang as a “core city” and pledged support for green transition projects toward carbon neutrality by 2050.
