Total investment capital for Software Park No. 2 to increase to VND 1,400 billion

At its 20th session on Wednesday morning, the Da Nang People’s Council unanimously approved the adjustment to increase the total investment for the city’s Software Park No. 2 project (phase 1) to more than VND 1,400 billion.

According to the report released by the municipal People’s Committee, the Software Park No. 2 project (phase 1) is included in the list of the city’s key projects during the 2021-2025 period.

The project aims to promote domestic and foreign investment attraction, especially in the city’s information technology sector. The Software Park No. 2 will help businesses quickly access state policies, and support and incubate new startups, thereby expanding and developing the information technology market.

The municipal People’s Committee also proposed to add necessary items to synchronously complete the Software Park No. 2, including three buildings of 20-storey ICT, 8-storey ICT1 and 8-storey ICT2, with a total additional cost of more than VND 414 billion, raising the total investment to more than VND 1,400 billion from the city budget.

Previously, on October 22, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1238/QD-TTg approving the expansion of the Da Nang Software Park, now called Da Nang Software Park No. 2 which spans an area of 28,573 square meters in Thuan Phuoc Ward, Hai Chau District.
