Tho Quang Fishing Wharf reopens after negative COVID-19 tests for all workers and fishermen

The Son Tra District authorities allowed the Tho Quang Fishing Wharf and Seafood Wholesale to reopen at midday today, June 29 after fishermen, traders, and other workers in this area had tested negative for the virus.

All fishermen, traders, and other workers operating at the Tho Quang Fishing Wharf and Seafood Wholesale are required to stick to advice and guidance on infection prevention and control from the municipal government and health bodies. In particular, all fishermen from ouside the city must stay onboard. Family members of fishing boat owners from COVID-19 affected areas, especially in Quang Ngai Province, are banned from selling seafood at the Seafood Wholesale .

Fishermen are banned from leaving their boats and must head out to sea after their catch are sold out directly from their boats, and they receive enough ice, food, drinking water, fuels and others for their next offshore trips.

A total of 8,000 people have been provided with access cards to the Tho Quang Fishing Wharf and Seafood Wholesale.

The Da Nang Department of Health on June 26 issued emergency notifications on five new confirmed COVID-19 cases in Quang Ngai Province, residing in Duc Pho district, and their associated exposure sites. Included is the Tho Quang Fishing Wharf in Da Nang.

Those who have been to the Tho Quang Fishing Wharf between 10.00 p.m on June 23, and 2.00 a.m on June 24 are urged to contact their nearest medical facilities for what to do.
