According to records, on the morning of February 7, the Bach Dang spring flower street was bustling with local residents and tourists coming to visit and take photos. Notably, many kindergartens in the area organised Spring activities for pupils here. Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, a teacher at the Anh Duong Kindergarten, Hai Chau District, Da Nang said that the school took the children to the flower street for sightseeing.

“The city’s extension of the flower street’s operating hours contributes to creating a beautiful appearance, with places for people to have fun and relax. We came here not only to preserve memories but also to introduce the city’s beautiful scenery, helping children understand and love their homeland more.”, said Ms. Huong.

Waiting to move to the Ba Na Hills tourist attraction, a group of French tourists took the opportunity to stroll around this popular flower garden. “This is my first time coming to Da Nang. My first impression is the beautiful scenery with the flower street and the Dragon Bridge. I hope to have an enjoyable vacation with my family in this beautiful coastal city,” said Ms. Lyvanne.

In an effort to serve tourists, tourist attractions across the city have been carefully prepared. In particular, the spring flower festival at the Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area continues to delight visitors with nearly 400,000 tulips of 45 colourful flower varieties spread throughout the tourist area.

Not only tulips, the flower festival on the Ba Na peak also lasts with the Sun Flower Festival in March-April, the Rose Festival in May, gathering hundreds of thousands of sunflowers and roses, covering a colourful flower paradise on the Ba Na peak.

In addition to the famous area and spot, many districts and counties also attract people and tourists with festivals, check-in spaces for flower gardens, vegetable gardens and fruits.

According to Vice Chairman of the Hoa Vang District People’s Committee Nguyen Thuc Dung, after Tet (traditional Vietnamese Lunar New Year) 2025, festivals such as the Tuy Loan and the Bo Ban communal house festivals will take place in the district with many attractive cultural and entertainment activities to serve local residents and tourists, and at the same time, vegetable gardens in Tuy Loan, green-skinned grapefruit growing areas in Hoa Ninh to attract tourists.

Similarly, Ms. Hua Thi Thuy Phuong, the Chairwoman of the Cam Le District Farmers’ Association said that the ‘Green Cam Le’ check-in point located at the intersection of Tran Huan and Thang Long streets, Khue Trung Ward, Cam Le District, Da Nang deployed by the Association before Tet will continue to be taken care of to serve locals and tourists.

“The garden with many types of fresh flowers with the main colours of yellow – green – red represents the spring atmosphere. We will pilot a number of new flower varieties, combining to form an attractive and impressive urban agricultural destination combined with agricultural tourism. Currently, the garden is open for free to serve people and tourists”, Ms. Phuong said.

According to the Da Nang Department of Tourism, the total number of visitors to Da Nang during the Tet 2025 holiday reached more than 469,000, an increase of 16.7% compared to the 2024 holiday (an increase of 3.2% compared to the report before the holiday), including more than 228,000 international visitors, nationally leading in the number of international visitors during the recent Tet holiday break. Da Nang also recorded a tourism revenue of over VND1,000 billion, leading in revenue per visitor, reaching VND4,023 million/visitor (revenue of VND1,887 billion/469,000 visitors).

The extension of the Bach Dang Spring Flower Street to May 1 is considered a major change for Da Nang compared to previous years. This not only helps both locals and tourists have more time to enjoy the festival but also creates a highlight for the city during the early festival season, contributing to attracting tourists to Da Nang not only during Tet but also in the following important events.

It is expected that on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang (March 29, 1975 – March 29, 2025), the city will organise a celebration combined with a parade on the morning of March 29. Fireworks will be set off at 3 locations: Bach Dang Street Square (Hai Chau District), in front of the Lien Chieu District Administrative Centre and the resettlement area of the Western Ring Road in Hoa Vang District; along with parades of boats on the Han River and flower-decorated vehicles on major streets.

Along with that, cultural activities – festivals on both banks of the Han River in 2025 are diverse and rich with 79 activities (22 periodic and 57 annual activities), contributing to creating an attractive point for the destination of Da Nang in the coming time.
