Till date, the preparation for the forthcoming Da Nang Golf Tourism Festival 2022 is 90% complete.

Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Tourism Nguyen Xuan Binh made the statement at a Tuesday meeting to review the preparatory works for the upcoming tourism event.

Also, Deputy Director Binh informed that the Department of Tourism has worked with the BRG Group to hang 600 banners along major downtown street. Also, 20 banners have been hung and one Photobooth has been set up at the international passenger terminal at Da Nang International Airport.

A model with the written words ‘Danang Golf Tourism Festival 2022’ has been installed on the sidewalk of Bach Dang Street, whilst event promotion videos have been introduced on social networking sites.

Apart from its highlighting event being the BRG Open Golf Championship Danang 2022, the Da Nang Golf Tourism Festival will feature an array of exciting side activities. Included are international golf and tourism conferences to be held from August 29 – 31, a press conference to announce the tournament on August 30, Pro-Am Prize on August 30, and a free city tour in the afternoon of August 29.

It is expected that starting from August 30, the media department of the Asian Tour Company will come to Da Nang to conduct a 30-minute broadcast about the host of the tournament.

In his remarks at the meeting, Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Tran Phuoc Son emphasised the festival might be the last big-scale tourism event of the year.

He also highlighted the significance of the event in promoting the city’s tourism images. Therefore, he urged relevant agencies, and sponsors, to make every effort to carefully review and check each item in order to ensure the success of the upcoming event, thereby contributing to raising Da Nang’s status on the domestic and international tourism maps.

With only a few days left for the Da Nang Golf Tourism Festival 2022, Vice Chairman Son requested relevant units to submit their detailed plans for each activity, featuring specific responsibilities attached to each individual, to the municipal authorities no later than tomorrow, August 24.
