Photos of late President Tran Dai Quang in the city

Member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee and President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam Tran Dai Quang passed away at 10.05am on 21 September in Ha Noi at the age of 62.

According to the Board of Healthcare Services for Senior Officials, the President died at the Military Central Hospital 108 due to serious illness.

Since being elected State President at the 11th session of the 13th National Assembly on 2 April 2016, he has visited Da Nang for many times. During his stays in the city, Mr Quang spent a lot of time on visiting and presenting gifts to local social policy families.

In memory of the late President, DA NANG Today would like to introduce to our readers some photos taken by our reporter Dang No, which describe his visits to Da Nang.

On 18 April 2017, late President Tran Dai Quang (3rd right) and some of the Da Nang leaders together pressed buttons to officially start a digital clock at the roundabout of Ngo Quyen and Pham Van Dong streets, which counted down to the start of the 2017 APEC Economic Leaders’ Week (AELW) in the city.
