Over 104 billion VND for building parking garages in the city

The Da Nang authorities will provide more than 104 billion VND of funding to build 2 parking garages in the city.

In details, over 27.7 billion VND will be granted to implement the 2nd stage of the automated parking garage at 255 Phan Chau Trinh in Hai Chau District.

The first stage of the parking garage in Da Nang was put into trial use in September 2019. The modern 6-storey garage can accommodate a total of 50 under 7-seater cars.

Once completed, the parking garage will help to reduce the number of cars parked along Nguyen Van Linh Street, hence ensuring the smooth operation of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) route from Hoang Dieu Street to the Rong (Dragon) Bridge.

Meanwhile, the remaining more than 76.3 billion VND from the city budget will be used to implement the 1st stage of a parking garage at 166 Hai Phong.

The steel framed parking garage will consist of five 6-storey blocks, together accommodating a total of 173 cars. It will be operated under the puzzle parking system.

Developed by the city’s Management Board of Transport Infrastructure Construction and Maintenance Projects, the two above-mentioned projects are scheduled to be carried out during the 2020-2022 period.
