New low-cost flight from Đà Nẵng to Korea

The flights will enable connections to destinations in Việt Nam and Korea. Promotional return tickets will be offered for  less than US$250.

VietJet will be the third budget airline operating flights between Đà Nẵng and Korea, after Jeju Air and T’way Air of Korea. T’way Air operates five flights a week from Đà Nẵng to Daegu, four flights between Đà Nẵng and Seoul, and daily HCM City-Seoul flights, while Jeju Air offers daily flights from Đà Nẵng to Incheon.

According to the city’s tourism department, there are 12 flights from Korea to Đà Nẵng every week, carrying an average of 1,500 passengers. Two additional direct flights from Đà Nẵng to Pusan and Muan, Korea will launch later this year.

The national flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines, has operated a Đà Nẵng-Pusan route with two flights per week since 2013.

Tourists from South Korea comprise the second-largest segment of foreign tourist arrivals in Đà Nẵng. More than 443,000  – nearly 20 per cent of the total foreign travelers – visited the city last year.

Đà Nẵng is also home to 53 Korean-invested projects with total capital of US$734 million.

VietJet currently offers flights from Huế, Đà Nẵng and Buôn Ma Thuột in the central region to Hà Nội and HCM City, and routes from Quy Nhơn to HCM City and Vinh to Đà Lạt. It aims to open additional domestic routes and expand its operations to economic centres in the Asia-Pacific region.— VNS
