Many activities to celebrate Christmas and New Year 2025

The Da Nang People’s Committee has just issued a plan to organise a number of activities to celebrate the Christmas and New Year holidays in 2025. This is a municipal-level cultural and tourism event with many attractive programmes and activities, creating a joyful atmosphere for local dwellers and tourists during the forthcoming holidays.

Specifically, a festival to welcome in Christmas and New Year 2025 will take place from 5:00pm to 10:00 pm on December 20 at the western end of the Dragon Bridge. It will feature a wide range of exciting activities, including a Santa Claus parade, cocktail demonstration performances by international artists, Santa Claus giving gifts to children in difficult circumstances, and arts programmes.

The Christmas Market 2025 is slated to be organised from December 20, 2024 to January 2, 2025 between 5:00 pm and 10:30 pm daily at the eastern end of the Dragon Bridge with a space to display souvenirs and OCOP products, and Vietnamese – international culinary space.

In addition, visitors to the market will have the opportunity to participate in a Christmas tree decoration contest, a Santa Claus costume contest, and a realistic painting competition, as well as make Christmas and New Year decorations (such as cards, paintings, candles, laurel wreaths and 2025 calendars), and prepare Vietnamese dishes (rice noodles, tapioca dumplings) and international dishes (gingerbread, spaghetti, kimchi, kimbap, and sushi).

The city plans to organise the Countdown Party and art programmes to ring in New Year 2025 at the western end of the Dragon Bridge and along both banks of the Han River, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere to welcome in the new year.
