India willing to share experience with Da Nang on developing international financial centre

At the meeting, Mr. Quang expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Indian Embassy in Viet Nam and the Ambassador Sandeep Arya personally for their attention and support in fostering people-to-people exchange activities, especially the International Yoga Day held in Da Nang. These activities have greatly contributed to strengthening the friendly relationship between Viet Nam and India.

The city Part chief informed that the Vietnamese National Assembly has approved the establishment of an international financial centre in both Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City. Therefore, he asked for help from the Indian diplomat to facilitate connections and knowledge exchange with the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) based in GIFT City, India.

He also emphasised Da Nang’s strong interest in preserving and promoting Cham cultural heritage to attract more Indian tourists. He unveiled that the city plans to begin construction of the second facility of the Cham Sculpture Museum at the Phong Le Cham archaeological site in August. He, therefore, voiced his hope that the Indian Ambassador will continue to support the city in culture, tourism, and education cooperation.

In reply, Ambassador Sandeep Arya expressed his impression of the increasingly strong development of Da Nang. He hoped that, with the new mechanisms and policies issued by the Central Government, Da Nang will make a breakthrough in development in the coming time and wish the city to continue to achieve great achievements in socio-economic development in 2025.

Ambassador Sandeep Arya hoped that the city’s leaders will create favorable conditions for Indian investors and corporations to explore investment opportunities in the Lien Chieu Port project.

At the same time, he affirmed his readiness to support and connect Da Nang with Indian financial centres to exchange experience in operating the Da Nang International Financial Centre. In addition, he wanted to expand cooperation with Da Nang in tourism and education, especially training human resources for the fields of high technology and information technology.
