Da Nang speeds up health declaration management application amid COVID-19 concerns

The Da Nang government has asked all local departments, agencies and district-level authorities to increase the use of heath declaration management apps for COVID-19 prevention and control efforts.

All serviced accommodation establishments and tourist sites across the city are urged to increase the use of heath declaration management systems in order to monitor the health conditions of all arrivals to Da Nang.

Instead of filling out health declaration forms as previously, those who enter or leave Da Nang have to declare their health conditions through online apps so that the municipal Health Department can find it easier to manage entries and exits for coronavirus preventive move.

In particular, before travelling to Da Nang, travellers must make medical declarations on the Danang SmartCity app, the Zalo of the city’s switchboard 1022 or at https://bcdh.danang.gov.vn/web/guest/khai-bao. Messages containing QR codes for official confirmation will be sent to them.

Afterwards, at the existing checkpoints set up at entrances to Da Nang, travellers must show the staff on duty there the QR codes to confirm their completed medical declarations. The QR codes will be scanned to see if they are still valid.

In particular, it is a good idea to apply a facial recognition system, which uses biometrics to map facial features from a photograph or video, and the vehicle registration plate control functionality integrated on the management system to facilitate tracing activities when needed.

Also, heed must be paid to effectively implementing the utility of heath declaration management systems in all public and private hospitals, ward/commune-level healthcare facilities, all-level administrative offices, festivals, cultural and sports events, crowded places and such accommodation establishments as motels and hostels across the city.

According to preliminary statistics, as of 4:00pm on May 5, the city’s medical declaration management system had attracted 404,750 declaration turns and 184,180 check-ins.
