Da Nang seeks investors for VND1.8 trillion semiconductor laboratory project

Da Nang is calling on strategic investors for the VND1.8 trillion project to establish a laboratory dedicated to advanced semiconductor packaging technology.

The project is expected to be built on an area of ​​2,298m2 at the Da Nang Software Park No. 2 in Thuan Phuoc Ward, Hai Chau District. Its objective focuses on advanced packaging technology for semiconductors in order to practically and importantly concretise the requirements of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation and Decision No. 1018/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on promulgating the Strategy for developing Viet Nam’s semiconductor industry to 2030 with a vision to 2050.

At the same time, the project is part of the city’s Semiconductor and Artificial Intelligence Development Project.

The laboratory with a capacity of 10 million products per year will focus on technology research and development in the fields of semiconductors and artificial intelligence, including research and development for high-tech electrical and electronic products. It will also provide product testing, inspection, installation, maintenance, consulting, training, and technical solutions.

The project is set to operate for 50 years and is expected to be implemented from the second quarter of 2025 until the fourth quarter of 2026.

Interested investors can submit their applications at Counter No.18, Division for Receiving Dossiers and Returning Results of Administrative Procedures, Da Nang Administrative Centre, located at 24 Tran Phu Street, Hai Chau District, from now until May 24, 2025.
