Da Nang proactively attracts and promotes blockchain technology

The event is jointly organised by the Solana developers and Web3 community – Superteam Viet Nam in collaboration with the Solana Foundation and the Da Nang Business Incubator (DNES).

Delivering his opening speech, Vice Chairman Le Quang Nam stated that the Vietnamese government had issued Decision No. 1236/QĐ-TTg dated October 22, 2024, approving the national strategy for the application and development of blockchain technology to 2025, with a vision to 2030. The decision outlined not only strategic goals but also concrete actions to build a sustainable and modern blockchain ecosystem.

As one of Viet Nam’s dynamic economic hubs, Da Nang has been actively implementing policies to attract investment and promote the development of blockchain technology. In addition, the city is emerging as an ideal destination for the global developer community and talented tech professionals who choose Da Nang as a place to live and launch their startups.

The city’s vision and determination are clearly reflected in the proposed establishment of a free trade zone and the Politburo’s policy to build an international financial centre in Da Nang. These initiatives aim to position the city as a leading hub for next-generation internet technologies, namely Web3, in the region.

Notably, the National Assembly’s Resolution No. 136/2024/QH15 dated June 26, 2024 regarding the organisation of urban governance and piloting special mechanisms and policies for the development of the city features favourable conditions for forming a regulatory sandbox model.

The sandbox will allow startups to test new products and services in a controlled environment, especially those involving emerging technologies such as blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), and semiconductors. This will also serve as a springboard for startups to accelerate growth and attract investment more effectively.

The Web3 ecosystem is seen as the next generation of the internet, in which users truly own and control their data. Blockchain is the core technology enabling this vision, and platforms like Solana play a central role in fostering a transparent and decentralized digital environment.

“We are proud to see that many talents in the Solana ecosystem are Vietnamese or currently living in Viet Nam, including a vibrant community of developers in Da Nang. The municipal government is committed to supporting this community through all stages from startup to growth and scale-up” he added.

Thanks to its supportive policies and an innovation-friendly environment, Da Nang is quickly becoming a prime destination for Web3 projects, particularly startups and developers within the Solana ecosystem.

According to information shared at the event, Solana Summit APAC 2025 lasts until June 6. The two-day event brings together founders, experts, investors, and blockchain developers from Viet Nam and across the Asia-Pacific region.

It features 18 panel discussions and presentations, aiming to serve as a bridge for attracting investment into potential projects in Da Nang. It also encourages international tech startups to consider Da Nang a strategic base for expanding into regional markets.
