This achievement not only highlights the richness and quality of Da Nang’s culinary scene but also reflects the city’s sustained efforts to position itself as an appealing gastronomic destination on the global map.

Outstandingly, Da Nang solidifies its culinary standing with La Maison 1888 at the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort retaining its one Michelin Star and Nén restaurant maintaining its MICHELIN Green Star status.

Meanwhile, among the newly added establishments to the Bib Gourmand list for 2025, Da Nang accounts for 4 out of 9. In the newly selected entries for the MICHELIN Guide Selected category, Da Nang contributes 3 out of 14.

According to MICHELIN Guide experts, the new Da Nang entries featured in the 2025 editionsuch as Banh Xeo 76, Bun Bo Hue Ba Thuong, Que Xua, Shamballa, Bep Cuon, Bun Rieu Cua 39, and Moc are celebrated for serving delicious, well-crafted dishes at accessible prices. These establishments are noted for their consistency, finesse and authentic culinary craftsmanship.

Bun Bo Hue Ba Thuong has been a local favorite for more than five decades, winning over generations of diners with its bold and aromatic Hue-style beef noodle soup. The broth, rich with the fragrance of lemongrass and the signature spiciness of central Viet Nam, is paired with tender beef slices, springy noodles, and a refreshing medley of fresh herbs and vegetables.

Que Xua embodies the soul of traditional Vietnamese cuisine. Its warm, rustic décor, complete with straw chandeliers and folk-style paintings, adds an inviting charm that enhances the dining experience.

Shamballa offers a serene vegetarian experience, where diners step into a peaceful space filled with Tibetan accents and enjoy a plant-based menu rooted in Vietnamese flavors and local techniques.

With more than 20 new entries across all categories, Viet Nam’s culinary future looks brighter than ever. Ho Chi Minh City stands out for its range – from beloved local spots to upscale venues led by international names. Ha Noi and Da Nang continue to impress with new street food finds and Bib Gourmand additions. Across all three cities, dining remains both accessible and exciting.

“For our inspectors, the journey of discovering new restaurants in Viet Nam remains as exciting as ever. They have been inspired by the dedication, creativity, and pursuit of excellence shown by culinary professionals across the country and they are eager to uncover even more gems in the years to come.”, the officer added.

According to Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, the Director of Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the city’s culinary scene began receiving increased attention from both local and international media and travellers in June 2024,  when Da Nang Da Nang becomes the third Vietnamese destination to be scouted by the MICHELIN Guide Inspectors, alongside the capital cit of Ha Noi and he southern metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City. This global recognition marked a turning point in promoting the city’s gastronomic identity.

In 2025, Da Nang was ranked among the Top 10 Exciting Foodie Destinations announced by the MICHELIN Guide, joining global hotspots such as Austin and Miami (the United States), Mexico City (Mexico), Amsterdam (Netherlands), Bangkok (Thailand), Fujian (China), Osaka (Japan), Bath (UK), and Vienna (Austria). This year’s MICHELIN Guide Guide listing reaffirms the city’s culinary strength, with returning names and several new additions.

Notably, Michelin selected Da Nang as the host city for the 2025 MICHELIN Guide Guide Viet Nam awards ceremony—an opportunity for the city to spotlight its culinary values and elevate Vietnamese cuisine on the global stage. The event aligns with Da Nang’s broader strategy to develop gastronomy into a unique tourism product.
