The Da Nang Business Pickleball Tournament for the DPF Cup 2025 is scheduled to take place from August 1 -3 at the Trang Hoang Pickleball Court.

Hosted by the municipal Pickleball Federation, the tournament is expected to attract 700 athletes who are leaders, workers, civil servants, and employees of state-owned enterprises and private enterprises (including all forms of private businesses such as sole proprietorships, single-member and multi-member limited liability companies, joint-stock companies without state capital, and partnerships) in the city.

Contestants will compete in two blocks: state-owned enterprises and private enterprises, and in three categories of leaders, over 40 years old and under 40 years old.

Accordingly, the leader doubles category will have a maximum of 64 pairs, whilst the over/under 40 years old categories will have a maximum of 32 pairs/category. Notably, a special “Super Cup” match will be held at the end of the tournament between the champion pairs of the two business sectors.

The tournament’s organising committee will award cups and medals to outstanding individuals and the entire delegation with a total prize value of up to VND 400 million, not including in-kind gifts from sponsors.

According to Mr. Nguyen Ba Canh, Permanent Vice President of the Da Nang Pickleball Federation cum Head of the tournament’s organizing committee, this is the first large-scale tournament that the municipal Pickleball Federation has organized since its establishment. The sports event aims to respond to the campaign “All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho”, and create a playground for exchange, connection, and improvement of the spiritual life of workers, civil servants, and employees of the business community. It will promote the development of the Pickleball movement in particular and physical education and sports in the city in general.

“In recent times, the Pickleball movement has strongly developed in the city, attracting a large number of players of different ages, with increasingly improved professional levels. With the participation of 700 athletes, the upcoming tournament promises to bring dramatic matches” said Mr. Canh.
