Appealing for Russian truck manufacturer to invest in city

On Monday, a group of visitors from Da Nang, led by municipal People’s Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho, met with some representatives from the GAZ Group in Russia’s capital city of Moscow. The intention was to appeal for the Russian Group to invest in manufacturing and assembling trucks and pickup trucks in Da Nang.

GAZ Group is one of Russia’s leading manufacturers of commercial vehicles.

During his meeting with the Russian truck manufacturer, Chairman Tho introduced his city’s strengths and its potential, along with its socio-economic development, especially golden opportunities offered for the city by APEC Economic Leaders’ Week 2017.

The city chief said proudly Da Nang boasts its synchronous infrastructure system, healthy living environment, and qualified human resources. In addition, the city authorities have been making their ceaseless efforts to boost administrative reform, and to offer a welcoming environment to foreign investors, including those from Russia.

Leaders of the A GAZ Group spoke highly of the city for its great potential and strengths.

Also, they said that pouring money into Da Nang offers their group a good opportunity to expand their consummer markets. Therefore, their group is planning to visit Da Nang in December to learn about its investment climate.

Also on the same day, the Da Nang delegation had a working session with ANEX Tour’s representatives.

ANEX Tour, which is one of Russia’s leading tour operators, is operating many flights between the Land of the Tsars and Viet Nam’s Nha Trang and Phu Quoc.

During his meeting with the Da Nang guests, the General Director of ANEX Tour remarked that he would visit Da Nang in September to conduct surveys into the city’s tourism products in order to introduce the city’s popular attractions to Russian citizens.
