A 1km-long section of Kinh Duong Vuong Street between its intersections with Nguyen Sinh Sac and Tran Dinh Tri has been selected by the People's Committee of Hoa Minh Ward, Lien Chieu District, Da Nang to pilot the digital street model.
Kinh Duong Vuong is selected for the pilot implementation of the digital street model because it meets the requirements on infrastructure and population.
After nearly one month of piloting the model of "digital street associated with urban civilisation", people's awareness has gradually changed in a positive direction.
Mrs. Le Thi Tuyet, living in the Hoa Phu 7 residential area, Hoa Minh Ward, Lien Chieu District, is mobilised by members of the Community Digital Technology Group and Project 06 (Project on developing applications of data on population, identification and electronic authentication to serve national digital transformation in the period 2022-2025 with a vision to 2030) to create a QR code and a digital bank account at her business location to support cashless payment.
According to Mrs. Tuyet, using the QR code helps save a lot of time, reduce risks as well as bring convenience in calculating daily revenue and profits.

The Kinh Duong Vuong digital street is operating on 7 criteria. In particular, 100% of business households on the street make online payments in trade and service activities; promote and introduce products and services on social networking sites; and are supported with domain names and website setup. In addition, 100% of local children aged 6-14 have ID cards; and 100% of households use online public services instead of in person.
Moreover, QR code readers are installed under the street name signs to provide full information of the streets. Surveillance cameras are installed for managing security, order and traffic safety on the route. Fire prevention and fighting is digitised through a smart fire alarm system (via smart phones of each household along the street).
Smart cameras have been installed at the intersections and crossroads on the street.
The model of digital street aims to assist local residents in accessing online public services and promoting the use of digital technology in building community life.
At the same time, it contributes to improving the efficiency of online business, and cashless payment at production facilities and enterprises; boosting the application of information technology to serve the management and operation of the government; enhancing the quality and efficiency of economic - cultural - social development activities, national defence - security; and creating an effective and professional working environment to serve people and businesses well.

Sharing about the development of a separate app for smart fire, robbery and medical alarm, Mr. Dinh Huu Phuc, Chairman of Hoa Minh Ward People's Committee, said that when an unfortunate incident occurs, people will press the button. Then, the automatic switchboard system will automatically call to alert the status to all phone numbers registered in the system including incident hotline, police force, and all households living on the street.
Notably, the AI-based smart camera system helps identify the scene, detect violations and vehicles, and transmit information to the police agency to serve the purpose of ensuring security and order in the area.
These two abovementioned systems are being researched and completed, and then will be soon deployed on Kinh Duong Vuong by Hoa Minh Ward authorities and the HCTech Technology Solutions JSC.
Hoa Minh Ward also established an online public service support point at the intersection of Kinh Duong Vuong and Ho Tung Mau streets to facilitate people to carry out online public administrative procedures.
100% of stores and businesses on the first digital street of Lien Chieu District have been supported in installing cashless payment methods.
