Creating production motivation
Specialising in manufacturing interior products, investment in green and clean production is always one of the important tasks and top priorities of the Viet-Sec JSC located in the Hoa Cam Industrial Park, Cam Le District.
Mr. Phan Thanh Minh, Deputy Director of the company, informed that the company has just purchased a four-sided planing and automatic shaping machine worth VND1.36 billion in total. The machine helps increase the ability to plan and shape on four sides of wooden blanks in just one feed, thereby improving productivity and ensuring high precision in the processing process, while also creating less wood dust and emissions into the environment.
And, the enterprise has received a financial support of VND300 million from the industrial promotion programme under the pilot model of applying cleaner production in industries.
Mr. Minh said that investing in machinery helped increase output more than 2 times and automation, as well as reduce manual production.
Although it has only been launched for nearly 2 years, the product "Ngoon crispy young grapefruit" of the Nhien Tam Cooperative in Hoa Minh Ward, Lien Chieu District has been on sale in many supermarkets, food stores and distribution units throughout provinces and cities nationwide such as Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Noi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh and An Giang, and has been exported abroad as well. It was recognised as a typical rural industrial product of the city and won the first prize in the Startup Idea Contest organised by the Women's Union of Lien Chieu District in 2023.
Also, the Nhien Tam Cooperative has received the most industrial promotion support among the 9 production units that have recently been awarded funding. In particular, the cooperative has been supported with VND450 million out of VND 1.1 billion in machinery cost.
The investment in such machines as a multi-purpose packaging machine for dried pomelo, a quantitative weighing machine, a bag-conducting membrane, and an automatic re-feeding machine has helped the Cooperative increase the productivity many times.
In Hoa Khuong Dong Village, Hoa Nhon Commune, Hoa Vang District, business household Nguyen Hong Hung specialises in producing outdoor and indoor equipment from bamboo, however, the scale of operation is still very small and almost all stages are performed manually.
In the 2024 industrial promotion programme, the unit is provided with a financial aid to buy a bamboo tube splitting machine and a bamboo slat shaping machine.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Hung, the owner of the facility, said that the total investment cost for purchasing machinery was VND192 million, of which the business household was supported with VND92.5 million. With the investment in machinery, Mr. Hung's business household can produce up to 20-30 bamboo table tops/day instead of only a product as before.
