Address: Located at Nam Son block, Hoa Cuong Bac ward, Hai Chau district (now part of Tien Son sports area), Da Nang city.

Nai Nam communal house was built in 1905 from the contributions of local people, worshiping the village protective god of safety and fairness, the residential god of the earth and the ancestors of the village.

In 1946, Nai Nam communal house was located in Hoa Binh village (in Nai Nam commune). At that time, Hoa Binh village was the residence of people from Hoa Son and Khue Trung. In 1949, Hoa Binh village merged into Da Nang city and was renamed the South area under Da Nang city (separated from Hoa Vang district). The South area includes Nai Nam, Hoa Binh, Khue Trung villages and part of Lien Tri commune.

The communal house faces Southeast, built entirely of bricks, tiles and wood, with a yin-yang tiled roof. The communal house has a large yard and surrounding walls. The communal house gate has four square pillars, each pillar is about 5m high. The two central pillars create the main entrance to the communal house, on the top of the pillars are molded two unicorns, the left and right pillars are attached to the wall, the top of the pillars is shaped like a lotus bud. On the middle pillars are pairs of parallel sentences made of porcelain.

From outside, about 5m in, there is a screen with a tiger relief on the front and a dragon and horse image on the back inlaid with porcelain. The porch of the main hall has a gong-and-drum tower built high, with a picture of a bat holding a peach on it.

The main hall has an architectural style of three compartments and two wings with a string structure. Many wooden structures are skillfully and exquisitely carved with images of carp turning into dragons, floral patterns, plants, birds, buds, etc. In the main hall, horizontal panels and parallel sentences are hung.

Located in the grounds of the communal house, there are two banyan trees. According to folklore, these two banyan trees are both over a hundred years old with trunks so big that ten people cannot hug them, towering on both sides, radiating green shade. During a storm in 2006, one of the two banyan trees was knocked down but was later replanted. Besides, in the communal house grounds there is a stele house with a memorial stele recording the names of 121 heroic martyrs who are Hoa Cuong people or people from other places who sacrificed their lives on Hoa Cuong land through the periods of struggle for independence and freedom as well as protection of the Fatherland.

Here, during the resistance war against the French and the Americans, local people used the communal house as a secret shelter for revolutionary activities, most importantly during the anti-French period:

- In 1949, the first party member admission ceremony took place and was chaired by comrade Pham Du, Chairman of the Hoa Binh Village Resistance Committee. In particular, the second admission ceremony was chaired by comrade Pham Trang, Standing Committee of the South Da Nang Party Committee, establishing Ward 1 Party cell of the South Party Committee with a number of 10 comrades, electing comrade Bui Cuong as secretary and comrade Nguyen Can as deputy secretary, during the meeting, the enemy discovered and opened fire, comrade Nguyen Van Lum died on the spot, two comrades were injured, and another comrade was later captured and then returned for not declaring…

- During the resistance war against the US, the communal house became a base for secret operations. During the period 1960-1965, the communal house was a communication station, communicating in and out of the city.

In a year, there are two major worshiping ceremonies at Nai Nam communal house on the full moon day of the second month (lunar calendar), which are the Cau An ceremony and the ceremony at the end of the 30th, the first day of the Lunar New Year. During the Praying for Cau An ceremony, on the afternoon of the 14th day of the 2nd month (lunar calendar), people gather at the communal house to request offerings at the Tien Hien church and then worship at the communal house until the afternoon of the 15th of the next day to return the offerings.

Nai Nam communal house relic, in addition to its value as an architectural - artistic relic, is also one of the typical ancient village communal houses remaining quite intact in the inner city of Da Nang. Nai Nam Communal House was recognized by the Ministry of Culture and Sports as a national Architectural and Artistic Monument under Decision No. 01/1999/-QD-BVHTT on January 4, 1999.

Currently, Ly Cong Uan Primary School, Da Nang takes care of the historical relics of Nai Nam communal house.
