Da Nang calls on organisations, individuals to make the planning of Airport, Lien Chieu Port sub-divisions under Master Plan

The Da Nang Management Board of Traffic Construction Investment Projects is now calling on organisations and individuals to make proposals on the planning of the Airport, Lien Chieu Seaport Da Nang Bay-side subdivisions under the 1:2,000 zoning scale, a step towards realising the Prime Minister-approved adjustments to the strategic master plan for major developments in Da Nang to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

The planning of the Airport subdivision must be in sync with the planning of the Da Nang International Airport for the 2021 – 2030 period, with a vision towards to 2050.

This sub-division is planed to cover a total research area of 1,327 hectares and have a population of about 104,000, featuring specialized functions and becoming an important traffic hub of the city associated with the development of the so-called erotropolis model. 

The planning of Lien Chieu Seaport sub-division shall be in sync with the detailed planning of Lien Chieu Seaport, covering with a total planned research area of about 1,285 hectares and having a population of about 19,000 by 2030.

The planning of a subdivision alongside the existing Da Nang Bay covers a total area of 1,530 hectares for planning research, with an expected population of about 192,000. This is a mixed lifestyle area for middle-income residents in a combination with diverse commercial and recreational activities.

It is required that the preliminary planning of the aforementioned sub-division must be made on the basis of the current state of the map which is now under the 1:5,000 – 1:10,000 zoning scale, making updates on the surrounding planning projects and the approved Da Nang Master Plan.

The participants can organise detailed topographic surveys and measurements at a larger scale to be able to propose a plan suitable to the current topographical and landscape conditions.

The structure of land use and spatial organisation of landscape architecture must comply with the zoning planning of the Da Nang Master Plan and the planning of neighbouring sub-divisions, ensuring the minimum impact on the natural shape, the relocation and clearance work.

The planning plan must be associated with proposals on management and implementation policies to ensure investment attraction capacity of the sub-division.

Each participating unit can propose more than one option. The deadline for submissions is November 15, 2021.
