Italy, US to compete in DIFF grand finale on 30 June

Given their highest scores, the Italian and US teams will compete in the grand finale, themed ‘Friendship’, of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2018, which is scheduled to take place on 30 June.

This is the most anticipated competition night because the two finalist teams have vast experiences in fireworks display, and they have a strong desire to bring home the championship title.

The qualifying round of DIFF took place successfully higher than expected with 4 performance nights joined by teams from Poland, France, the USA, Italy, Hong Kong (China), Sweden, Portugal, and hosts Da Nang-Viet Nam.

The DIFF 2018 judging board consists of famoust Vietnamese artistes and musicians, along with representatives of diplomatic agencies and foreign cultural centre operating in Viet Nam, all of whom have a thorough knowledge of various forms of arts.

Of note, the judges received timely and specific consultancy from the Global2000 Company from Malaysia, the consultants for DIFF 2018, in a bid to give the accurate and reliable assessments of the 8 participating teams.

According to Mr Tran Van Mien, municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman cum Head of the organising board of DIFF 2018, based on a random selection draw basis, the US contestants will perform first at the grand finale, followed by their Italian rivals.

Given their talent and meticulous preparations, hopefully, the 2 grand finalists would not disappoint the spectators with their most spectacular shows.

The awards ceremony will take place immediately after the performances of the two finalist teams.

The first prize winner will be awarded with the DIFF 2018 trophy and 10,000 USD in cash, whilst the runner-up will be given 5,000 USD.
