VND 631 billion to be invested in cargo terminal at Da Nang International Airport

The Da Nang People’s Committee has approved the investment policy to adjust the project on constructing a cargo terminal at Da Nang International Airport.

Developed by the Airports Corporation of Viet Nam (ACV), the project has a total investment of over VND 631 billion. It will be implemented on a land area of 24,618.2 m2, including 14,206.4 m2 for the cargo terminal and 10,411.8 m2 for the cargo staging area and parking lot.

ACV will disburse funds in line with the project’s implementation schedule. The terminal is planned to reach the approved design capacity of approximately 100,000 tonnes of cargo per year by 2030.

The construction phase and initial operations are scheduled to take place from the second quarter of 2025 to the fourth quarter of 2026, with an initial operating capacity of 50,000 tonnes per year.

From the third quarter of 2028 to the first quarter of 2029, additional equipment will be installed, raising the terminal’s operating capacity to 100,000 tonnes per year.
