EnglishRoute Inn Group from Japan has launched its first ever four-star hotel project – the Grandvrio Đà Nẵng City – in the central city, marking its first appearance in Việt Nam’s hospitality market, and the start of a plan to develop a chain of 50 hotels in the country.
The Group told Việt Nam News that the four-star project, which is located in the city centre, was built on an area of 4,360sq.m with total investment of VNĐ400 billion (US$18 million).
The two-building hotel will supply 169 rooms to the city’s hospitality market from 2017.
The Group also said it’s the first step on the way to entering the country’s tourism and accommodation market.
Route Inn Group has also been developing the five-star Grand Ocean Resort in Điện Nam-Điện Ngọc, Quảng Nam Province.
The introduction of the four-star hotel project also marked the first investment by a Japanese company in the hospitality sector in Việt Nam.
According to Đà Nẵng City’s liaison office in Tokyo and Yokohama, the project aims to increase investment flows and tourists from Japan to Đà Nẵng and the central region in the near future.
In 2015, Route Inn Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Đà Nẵng-based Đông Á College on tourism service employee training.
As scheduled, Route Inn will recruit 200 graduates from the college starting in 2018 to serve a chain of 320 hotels in Japan and Việt Nam— VNS
