The Da Nang People’s Committee has approved some activities at the Rong (Dragon) and Han River bridges over the upcoming Tet Festival which begins on 5 February.
The dragon’s head at the eastern end of the Rong Bridge will breathe fire and squirt water at 9.00pm each day between 3 and 6 February. These days are the 29th of the 12th lunar month to the 2nd of the 1st lunar month.
Meanwhile, the Han River Bridge will swing open from 11.00pm to midnight on 2, 3, 5 and 6 February. These days are the 28th and 29th of the 12th lunar month, and the 1st and the 2nd of the 1st lunar month.
In addition, the municipal authorities will temporarily stop the granting of permits to any new local construction projects from 27 January to 14 February (the 22nd of the 12th lunar month to the 10th of the 1st lunar month).
