First-ever travel experiences contest launched

Co-organised by the Da Nang Department of Tourism and the Empire Corporation, the contest is open to travel lovers worldwide and offers them the opportunity to visit Da Nang to experience its beauty, and leave with treasured memories.

The contest features 2 rounds:

Round 1 is open until 10 August.  Each contestant must first register and then upload an album consisting of 10 photos about her/his personal trip to any particular place, with a short description in no more than 250 words, to http://danangfantasticity.com.

The 9 most outstanding entrants will progress into Round 2.

Round 2 will take place between 31 August and 27 September.  The 9 finalists will travel to Da Nang before being divided randomly into 3 teams, and each team will vist the city for 4 days/3 nights.  All the costs of their trip will be covered by the contest’s organisers.  During their tours, the teams must complete challenges set by the organisers, as well as constantly update reports of their trips on the http://danangfantasticity.com website.

The judges will take turns to accompany each team to encourage them to take photos, write blogs, and make a video clips about their experiences.

After the trip, each team must create an under 5-minute video clip, an album of no more than 50 photos, and a report (in no more than 1,000 words) about the whole trip.

The awards ceremony is scheduled to be held on 27 September.

The first prize will consist of 60 million VND in cash and a tour to South Korea for each team member.  The second prizes are 15 million VND in cash and vouchers for two nights at a 5-star resort in Da Nang, whilst the members of the third-placed team will each receive 10 million VND in cash and a voucher for one night at a 5-star resort in the city.  There will be a 5 million VND prize for a lucky voter which will be a voucher for 2 nights at a 5-star resort in Da Nang.
