Brilliant flags at Da Nang Railway Station to welcome parade and march delegations back to units

A ceremony was held at the Da Nang Railway Station on Saturday evening to welcome armed forces who had successfully completed their mission of participating in the grand military parade in Ho Chi Minh City commemorating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the National Reunification.

Speaking at the welcome ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi said that the success of the celebration had added strength, spiritual encouragement and motivation to the entire Party, people and army to firmly enter the new era – the era of national development. In particular, the military parade and march at the celebration left a deep impression on people and international friends.

Participating in the national-level military and civilian parade and march was a particularly important political task, an honour, a pride and also a responsibility of each soldier, contributing to affirming the great stature of the historic victory of April 30, she said.

She also praised the forces for their efforts in diligently practicing and ensuring uniformity and precision in each movement under the hot weather, demonstrating the strength and fighting ability of the heroic Viet Nam People’s Army.

Vice Chairwoman Thi congratulated the forces on completing their tasks in the national-level military parade, and at the same time, thanked for their special affection and attention when visiting Da Nang.

During the stopover at the Da Nang Railway Station, the delegations of armed forces received a warm welcome from the city’s leaders and locals. The organising board arranged drinking water and snacks, and gave spiritual encouragement to soldiers.

On the occasion, the municipal Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, and the Military Region 5 Command presented souvenirs to the delegations of armed forces.
