Russian naval fleet makes port call in Da Nang

A Russian naval fleet with 262 crew members in total docked at the Tien Sa Port on May 10, beginning a five-day visit to the central city of Da Nang.

Russian navy ships and crew members receive warmly welcome by Da Nang leaders.

The Pacific Fleet consisted of the corvettes Rezky and Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov built for the Pacific Fleet, and medium-sized marine tanker Pechenga.

During their stay in the city, the Russian navy delegation, led by Colonel Anciferov Alexey Vitalievich, laid a wreath at the Martyrs’ Memorial; and paid courtesy visits to leaders of the Da Nang People’s Committee, the Military Region 5 Command and the Naval Region 3 Command under the Viet Nam People’s Navy.

Russian naval officer and soldiers are scheduled to take part in sports exchange activities with the Vietnamese navy force and visit a number of historical and cultural sites in the city.

Russian corvettes dock at Da Nang’s Tien Sa Port

The visit by Russian Navy fleet serves to strengthen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Viet Nam and Russia, and at the same time promote the role and image of Da Nang to international friends.
