Da Nang International Airport is launching a special campaign titled “Welcome VIP” at the T2 international passenger terminal to welcome the “King of K-pop” G-Dragon back to Viet Nam after 13 years. The South Korean artist is set to perform at the My Dinh National Stadium in Ha Noi on June 21.

According to the Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company (AHT), the campaign is part of the airport’s effort to turn itself not only into a transit hub but also a cultural gateway where each passenger is treated like a “special” guest.
Inspired by the image of the daisy – a symbol associated with G-Dragon, the space of the international passenger terminal T2 is decorated in a uniform manner from the exterior landscape to the waiting room, information counters and the staff uniform. The entire concept is aimed at showcasing Da Nang’s spirit of hospitality and creativity, while also connecting with the global fan community of the Korean superstar.
AHT’s social media post titled “Welcome VIP. Welcome G-Dragon” has drawn widespread attention, garnering thousands of interactions and positive comments. The campaign not only creates a domestic effect but also goes viral strongly on international social networks, with a series of posts and shares from the fan community and users in South Korea, Thailand, Japan, and other countries.
This shows that the influence of the campaign has gone beyond the borders of Viet Nam, while contributing to promoting the image of Da Nang as a friendly, hospitable and inspiring city in the eyes of international friends.
