EnglishNguyen Thi Xuan Trang, a 19-year-old student from Duy Tan University, was named Miss Da Nang 2012 in a contest held recently in the city. She also won the Miss Ao Dai title at the event. Trang is 1.70m tall and measures 86-67-90.
The first and second runners-up prizes went to Nguyen Le Thuy Tram from Da Nang University of Education, and Truong Thi Quynh Nhu from Da Nang College of Technology. Ms Tram also won the Miss Wisdom title, and Ms Nhu was voted Miss Charming Face.
The Miss Talent award went to Le Hoang Bao Vi and Miss Sea went to Le Hoang Hoa.
The final stage of the contest consisted of four rounds, featuring ao dai (traditional Vietnamese long dress), evening gowns, swimsuits and wisdom.
This was the largest beauty contest to be held in Da Nang over the last 15 years. The top three winners at Miss Da Nang 2012 are now exempted from a regional qualifying round and will participate in the upcoming Miss Viet Nam Pageant 2012 to be held in Da Nang next month.
