Over 17 billion VND for flower street at Tet

The VietArt OOH Company has been granted permission by the Da Nang authorities to decorate Bach Dang street with flowers for the Tet Festival, and the theme will be “Hundreds of flowers in bloom”. The floral display is expected to cost over 17 billion VND which will come from donations from the general public.

The flower street, which will be about 1km long, will be decorated with more than 100,000 flower baskets and over 100 different kinds of flowers.

Colourful floral designs, shaped like the copperhead snake, will be the main symbol because 2013 is the year of the snake. Designed by talented artist Minh Phuong, the copperhead will look not only majestic and strong, but also lissome and elevated. The design will symbolise the desire for the New Year to be filled with luck, happiness and success.

In addition, the flower street will also feature “Love Season” decorations because Valentine’s Day falls on the fifth day of the Lunar New Year.

The Bach Dang flower street will take place from 7 – 14 February 2013, and it is expected to be a popular attraction for both locals and visitors during the Tet holiday. The VietArt OOH Company pledges to make this an annual Tet Festival event.
