9 month statistics show the city’s remarkable economic growth

According to the Da Nang Statistics Bureau, between January and September, the city’s industrial production index reached 104.10%. The investment capital allocated from city budget was 2,848 billion VND, whilst the investment capital from the districts’ budgets was 2,280 billion VND.

The city earned 1,251 million USD from exports and services during the past 9 months of this year, a rise of 3.18% compared with the same period last year. Meanwhile, the import value hit 965 million USD, a decrease of 2.72% against 2018.

During the 9-month period, there were a total of 3,988 newly-established enterprises in the city, up 10.5% against 2018, with the total registered capital of 20,367 billion VND, up 22.8%.

Besides, a total of nearly 20,000 billion VND was spent on basic construction projects across the city, and around 17,000 billion VND on other and installation and construction activities.

The total value of retail sales of goods and services hit about 15,000 billion VND, up 13.9% compared with the same period of 2018.

The city saw a dramatic increase of 31.7% in the number of tourist arrivals to the city to reach over 1.4 million. Therefore, the tourism sector earned more than 17,000 billion VND in revenue, up 9.22%.
